I first learned of magic and terror on a farm in northern Illinois. Isolated from neighbors, I was surrounded by life, death, oppression, opportunity, creativity, the fundamentals of morality and the effects when morality is lacking. My current home is in Eugene, Oregon where I live with my partner. I just returned to Eugene after living in Brooklyn, NY. and I am happy to exclaim from the Top of the Rock that I completed my Master of Fine Arts at the New York Academy of Art in the spring of 2015.
Before I made the choice to attain my masters I was Chief Preparator at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art at the University of Oregon, I was a co-Founder of InfinityArtGallery.com, a Waldorf teacher, an assistant to an interior designer in Santa Fe, New Mexico, an art sales associate, a caterer in Hollywood, a boat builder who lived aboard a 36’ wooden ketch, and I was the mount maker at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
My artwork focuses on form, materiality, and the female spirit.
My passion is to make art that succeeds in creating a space for people to pause and be drawn into that silent place where we look outside ourselves to see inside ourselves.
